DAPHNE HOTEL ISTANBUL
The Hotel Daphne is a shining
jewel, nestled in the heart of Istanbul.
The name is taken from the Byzantine palace that once stood
beside the Hippodrome.
It is a charming property waiting to welcome you to Sultanahmet,
only a few minutes stroll from
the major historical cultural sites of Hagia Sophia, the Blue
Mosque, the Underground
Cisterns and the Hippodrome (At Meydanı).
There is a sense of refinement and style in the 14 standard and
6 deluxe guest rooms
that one would expect in a more expensive hotel.
The hotel's position gives a sunny aspect to all the rooms and
the 6 deluxe rooms
enjoy marvellous views of the Sea of Marmara. This boutique
hotel combines traditional
Turkish hospitality with attentive service and comforts,
elegantly decorated with
a warm ambiance. Complimentary wireless internet is available
throughout the hotel.
Perched atop a gentle hill, the hotel faces south towards the
sea and an historic mosque.
These historic buildings are under preservation so the hotel's
views remain unchanged.
An excellent panorama is available from the rooftop restaurant-bar-cafe
and there are
even good sea views from the lobby. An added bonus is the
partial view of the Byzantine
church-turned- mosque called the Little Ayasofya Mosque (Küçük
Ayasofya Camii),
which is just down the hill from the hotel.
A wide range of tours of the city can be arranged at the front
desk.
